A submitted film may not be shown publicly in Germany, for example at a festival, online (On Demand), on TV etc., until the end of the Hof Film Festival, i.e. it must be a German premiere.

Ein eingereichter Film darf bis zum Ende der Hofer Filmtage nicht öffentlich in Deutschland, zum Beispiel bei einem Festival, online (On Demand), im TV etc. gezeigt werden, das heißt es muss eine Deutschlandpremiere sein.

We ask you to send us a screener first. The screener is a copy of the film we will be using during the selection process. The most practical way is to have a screener online (password protected or not, both are allowed).

When your film is selected for the festival we will ask you to send us a master. The master is the copy we will use for projecting your film on the big screen.

Wir bitten Sie, uns zunächst einen Screener zuzusenden. Der Screener ist eine Kopie des Films, den wir während des Auswahlverfahrens verwenden werden. Am praktischsten ist es, online einen Screener zu haben (passwortgeschützt oder nicht, beides ist erlaubt).

Wenn Ihr Film für das Festival ausgewählt wird, bitten wir Sie, uns einen Master zu schicken. Das Master ist die Kopie, die wir verwenden, um Ihren Film auf die große Leinwand zu projizieren.

Invited films will be shown both on site in Hof and on our VOD platform (as transactional video on demand, with geoblocking Germany and for accredited guests, from the theater premiere until the Sunday after the festival). By submitting your film, you agree that the Hof International Film Festival will made the film available to the public on both platforms.

Eingeladene Filme werden sowohl vor Ort in Hof als auch auf unserer VOD-Plattform (als TVoD, bezahlter Einzelabruf, mit Geoblocking für Deutschland und für akkreditierte Gäste, ab der Kinopremiere bis zum Sonntag nach dem Festival) gezeigt. Mit der Einreichung Ihres Films erklären Sie sich damit einverstanden, dass die Internationalen Hofer Filmtage den Film auf beiden Plattformen der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich machen.
